Introduction
From September 2024, GG is proud to announce we will begin teaching the IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) as a candidate school.
The PYP is transdisciplinary curriculum framework that offers deep, balanced and connected learning in authentic contexts. Our curriculum will cover all the requirements of the National Curriculum but offer our children so much more in terms of their development as active, compassionate and lifelong learners.
There are several unique aspects to the PYP curriculum. Click each link below to find out more!

An IB World School is a school shaped by the IB mission statement:
The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
Benefits of an IB PYP education:
The unique aspects of an IB PYP education enable our children become open-minded and knowledgeable as they develop their ability to inquire and explore their own curiosities about the world.
They learn how to tackle problems and work collaboratively with a wide range of peers and adults growing their thinking and communication skills.
Children are encouraged and guided to act in a principled manner and to be caring in all that they do. They develop the confidence to work independently and develop an understanding of how to reflect. They are nurtured to take a balanced approach to life to maintain and promote wellbeing.
Our aim is to send all our pupils onwards as inspired, resilient, life-long learners, who are confident, responsible local and global citizens with a desire to improve the world in which they live.
