Employment and Safer Recruitment
As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at Girton Glebe Primary School, all employment practices comply with the statutory requirements outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education. This ensures rigorous recruitment checks and procedures for anyone working with children.
Prevent Strategy
Girton Glebe Primary School fully supports the government’s Prevent Strategy as part of our safeguarding and child protection responsibilities. We follow guidance from Teaching Approaches to help build resilience against extremism.
The Prevent strategy aims to:
- Address the ideological challenge posed by terrorism and extremism.
- Provide practical support to prevent individuals from being drawn into terrorism and ensure they receive appropriate advice and help.
- Work collaboratively across sectors, including education, criminal justice, faith groups, charities, online platforms, and health services.
